Located in Chinatown, the restaurant was easy to find and had a modern look. The food was great- the typical hotpot spread. I tried the spicy broth and it was good but had a kick at the end. We went during lunch so it was a chill atmosphere, not too crowded. It was easy to order using the online website, allowing multiple people to order for the table. Price was good as well for AYCE!

Do me a favor and check out 99 Favor Taste in Chinatown. For $40 a person (at the time of writing), you can get AYCE hotpot AND BBQ? What's great is the portions are big (doesn't matter since it's AYCE) and most things are fresh (shrimp is a little questionable). You order from your phone after you scan the QR code on the table and the food just comes. Within minutes of placing your order, the dishes magically appear! It's a loud and smell environment though. You WILL be coming out smelling like food so bring a plastic bag for your jacket (or not). Also, lots of people celebrate their birthdays here apparently. In the 2 hours we were here, I think they played the HBD song 6 times. Oh, birthday person eats free. I would be back one day but there's so much competition. But for the price, 99 Favor Taste can't be beat.

Pretty big restaurant, nice atmosphere! The service was quick even though it's busy. We tried both hot pot and kbbq, everything we tried was yummy. I wish they had more options like bulgogi for kbbq but overall really good.

99 Favor Taste is one of my favorite hot pot restaurants in the city. From the moment you walk into the restaurant, the staff is so kind and welcoming and explain how to place orders. I've been there twice, and the most recent time, I went with a group of five friends who have never been here before, and we all had an amazing time. I find that the way their system runs is quite efficient too - you don't have to keep calling waiters over to order more food since you order everything online and everything is brought out to you quickly and efficiently. There's a QR code that each person scans, and everyone at the table orders in the same cart. The waiters then bring out the food you order to you quite quickly - I was really impressed with the speed that everything was prepared. The sauce station is amazing too - they have tons of options you can add to make your sauces for your food. This was probably one of the most fun parts, since we were sharing our different sauce recipes while making them. There are multiple sauce stations in the restaurants so there usually aren't long lines that you need to wait in, which is great. My friends and I lovedddd the broths we got - I highly recommend the spicy individual for non-vegetarians! One of our friends is a vegetarian and 99 Favor Taste had tons of options for her to eat too, which is great because a many hotpot places don't have too many choices for people who don't eat meat. There is a vegetarian broth for vegetarians along with some of the more classic broths, but the variety overall was great. The cocktails and drinks are VERY well priced and looked delicious, the beer tasted cool and refreshing, and they have a 4 for $40 deal on soju, making it a fantastic place to unwind with friends on a Friday evening. Finally, the price for the hotpot itself was amazing - we each spent around $40 on food only for all of our side dishes. The waiters check up on you quite frequently, refilling your water and your broth, and the restaurant is clean and orderly and very well-decorated. The entire experience was efficient, enjoyable, and delicious. 99 Favor Taste has quickly become one of my favorite comfort restaurants and I will definitely be coming back! Also, a great time to visit is 3 days before, the day of, or 3 days after your birthday with a group of four people or more - you get to eat for free when they check your ID for your birthday! Such an amazing deal, highly recommend!

Love this place Had many options and great staff members I will be coming back and do recommend this place

Around dinner time, the place becomes pretty busy. However, the restaurant is pretty spacious and I didn't feel bothered by the steam and smoke arising from the various hot pots and BBQ grills. My family got both hot pot and BBQ when we were there, but I don't think it was worth it. There were a lot of options and limited space in our stomachs. What ended up happening was we ordered some BBQ and mostly hot pot ingredients for everything else. Also, it's kind of a multi-tasking experience since now the restaurant has you cook your own BBQ as well. So, while you're minding your hot pot, you'll also have to watch the grill. I still enjoy making my own sauce concoction whenever I come. Overall, would not mind coming again.

Went for my friend's birthday on a whim! We grabbed an early dinner right after work, which was a good idea because the place was packed really fast! There were also tons of other birthdays in the house, since birthday people eat for free. We did hot pot and it was fun and great. They had a wide variety of vegatable and fish options, which was perfect because I don't eat meat and sometimes hot pot is very meat oriented. The broth was flavorful, the ingredients super fresh, and I loved the sauce bar on the side. Made a great soy/hoisin/sesame past mixture that went great with my hot pot. Lively ambiance and the interior is really clean and has an open concept so there can be lots of people but it doesn't feel crowded. I'd for sure come again.

Truly a great group experience in NY with a variety of flavorful options in a lively environment. Setting: Very busy, but spacious restaurant. Do expect a longer wait if you don't have a reservation. Although my party had a reservation we faced a wait time which was disappointing. Service: Since the restaurant is packed, service was on the slower side which was unfortunate given the time limit. Nonetheless, the staff was kind! Food: Truly the highlight! With many options between hot pot and/or KBBQ, the sauce bar is a great addition as well.

Service is super quick, ambiance is fine but the birthday song goes off too often. Amazing selection of meats and veggies- pretty good bang for your buck. Sauce bar is decent too but don't expect much out of the sesame sauce- tastes like watered down peanut butter. The broths are also decent but it's not top notch like a more focused expensive hot pot place might be. Still good though and overall well worth your money for $30 ayce, considering that eating a mid dinner at a trendy restaurant in Manhattan costs like $50. This place is above mid. And I have socal / Bay Area standards for hot pot k? The lotus root is poppin. Thick cut and stringy, like fresh. Wood ear mushrooms are a lil dry.

tl/dr; for the accustomed, another wonderful lunch. Don't expect 'training wheels' here (e.g., extra help, explanations, communication). Had a very nice meal with friends who have never been. She explained the experience as 'frenetic' - fast and energetic in a rather wild and uncontrolled way. I think this summed up 99 Favor yesterday. The mobile site to order wasn't working for broth. We couldn't get the broths ordered properly, and when you're hungry and waiting for broth, unsure if it's ever coming out or not, is not a good thing. To make it worse, our hotpot food items came out before the broths did. Some things were never brought out (like lettuce), and we were never checked on. We had to make a distressed call for help for things like more water to drink or when our pots were dangerously low. For BBQ, my newbie friend did marinaded meats first and got the grill all gunked up. Thankfully, service knew we wanted it changed when we turned it off, cleared it, and ordered more meats. Some of the items were not my favorite, like the premium pork. We didn't get too adventurous yesterday, I would have liked some items. But I never saw any of these things as an issue. I've come to accept this as the way of life with 99 Favor - suppose it took a newbie for me to realize just how chaotic it all can be. And all the proteins and vegetables were all otherwise really good! We had a very nice time and enjoyed a leisurely self-paced afternoon.
